Koji je po vama najpouzdaniji, i najsposobniji po terenu i snegu. Ne mislim da vozim off road, ali imam potrebu da izađem van terena, gde ne mogu da prođem sa rav4 i tako nečim.

1. Mercedes OM612 мотор.

- The problem with 5-cylinder diesel engines of the series is increased camshaft wear.
- The timing chain also serves here for a short time, its resource is approximately 200 – 250 thousand km.
- Electrically, the wiring of the injectors and the boost pressure sensor often burn out here.
- Nozzles quickly coke if the refractory washers are not replaced when dismantling them.
- All remaining breakdowns of this engine are associated with Common Rail fuel equipment.


2. Hyundai-Kia D4CB мотор.

- In 2008 and 2009, the engine was changed under warranty: a connecting rod broke due to defective bolts. - In engines after 2011 with Common Rail Delphi, the fuel pump often drove chips.
- The most famous failure of this diesel engine is the burnout of copper washers under the nozzles, which leads to rapid coking of the engine with very sad consequences.
- Another common problem with such a motor is a clogged oil receiver. It is advisable to check it periodically or unexpectedly it can turn the liners.
- The distribution mechanism consists of three chains and the weakest here is the lower one, which rotates the oil pump and balancers. With its breakage, the main timing chain usually also breaks.
- The crankshaft liners, hydraulic lifters, the vacuum control system and the turbocharger geometry change system and the EGR valve have not the highest resource here.

- Also, oil can be mixed with antifreeze due to a leak in the pump and heat exchanger.

- After 200,000 km, wear of rockers and camshaft cams is often found here;
- On runs of 250 – 300 thousand kilometers, timing gears may require attention;
- A pump or a heat exchanger often leaks here and the oil is mixed with antifreeze.

- This version is the simplest in design and the most reliable in the series;
- There is no particulate filter, no swirl flaps, no turbine electric drive;
- Unreliable fuel injectors are the biggest problem for owners;
- Also, the rail pressure regulator periodically fails in the fuel system;
- Hydraulic lifters do not tolerate low-quality oils and can knock already by 100,000 km.

- The plastic gears of the turbine actuator drive wear out quickly;
